Known for its long stretch of sandy beaches, iconic surf spots & quintessential California beach culture, Huntington Beach is one of our favorite surf spots. In case you were thinking about visiting, here’s an insider’s guide for the perfect HB getaway!

SURF

HB is also known as Surf City, USA! One of the world’s most famous surf spots—the southside of the Huntington Beach pier – has been home to many contests throughout the years. Consistently breaking year-round waves makes this spot one of our favorites!

If long boarding is more of your style, we have a break for that too! Head north of the pier to Bolsa Chica & enjoy the slow rollers & long right point breaks.

STAY

Located in the heart of downtown Huntington Beach, the Shorebreak Hotel is a favorite weekend getaway for ROXY team surfers. We love the hip & contemporary surf décor and the short walking distance to the beach! The 3rd floor patio bar provides a perfect vantage point to check the surf, while enjoying a margarita or cerveza!

PLAY

Every Tuesday night in the summer you can head down to Main Street & PCH to shop at the local Farmer’s Market. Our favorite farmer’s market picks? The incredible assortment of local fresh fruit from the street vendors!

While you’re down there, make sure to check out the exhibits at the International Surfing Museum. Filled with artwork, vintage surfboards & relics of surfing’s early years we love the feeling of being transported back in time.

Hungry? Let’s talk food…

If you’re on Main Street, head over to Bruxie for some tasty gourmet waffle creations. Chicken & waffles anyone?!? Don’t worry, the waffles are only 250 calories so don’t feel TOO guilty about that waffle crepe sandwich!

Off-the beaten path, escape the crowds of Main Street and head over to Sit Stay Café for an afternoon pick-me-up. Enjoy a cup of coffee or a croissant with your four-legged friends on their dog-friendly outside patio. Did we mention they have the best vanilla-iced latte in town?

Lastly, a visit to Huntington Beach would not be complete without a trip to Banzai Bowls. Our go-to is the Maui Sunrise Bowl, filled with pure acai blended with fresh fruit and topped with granola, fruit, coconut flakes and a drizzle of honey!
