We asked Sally to take us through her favorite core training exercises, in the hope we can carve a six-pack too!
You can’t go past a plank to strengthen those deep core muscles.
Take your plank to the next level by switching to your side and stretching your arm to the sky. Repeat a few times each side to really engage your core.
Flip over onto your back, bend you knees and push into bridge position. Lift your hips and hold for a few breaths then lower back to the floor and rest.
The spiderman plank crunch will work every part of your abdominals. From plank position, bring your right leg up (as if you were crawling like spiderman) hold and then return your right leg and repeat on the other side. Or if you have the space you could crawl across the floor, alternating your legs as you go.
It might be basic but it still works. Lie flat on your back, raise your knees and fold your arms across your chest. Raise your shoulders to the ceiling using your abdominals and don’t forget to breathe out and pause at the top.
