As we creep towards Summer, we asked some of our favorite ambassadors and athletes to answer the tricky question, ‘Where is your favorite beach….’ First up, is TV presenter, producer, and travel enthusiast, Teigan Nash.

I’ve done a fair bit of traveling around Australia and am so excited to share some of my all-time favorite spots. From crystal clear waters, bustling beaches, white sandy havens, and incredible encounters with marine life, Australia has so much to offer, see and explore.

So where better to start than my own backyard. I live in Sydney’s South and am maybe a little bias when I say that the Sutherland Shire has some of the most beautiful spots. Take a walk on the esplanade to explore every nook and cranny that Cronulla has to offer. From Scuba Diving at Shelley Beach to Wavy Wanda the coastline wraps the whole way around. My go-to spot to escape the crowds, relax, and even do a little diving in Salmon Haul.

Now let’s head north to Queensland, known for its crystal-clear waters, breathtaking beaches, and surf breaks. My family and I used to holiday in Coolangatta so I guess it’s kind of a sentimental place for me. Dad and my brother love the surf break out at Snapper and it’s always such a vibe around the Quiky Pro.

Let’s keep heading north until we hit Tangalooma Island Resort. While it’s not a surf spot make sure you pack your snorkel and fins. Diving amongst the shipwrecks is such a cool experience, there’s also dolphin feeding and one of my favorite moments was kayaking at sunset around the shipwreck.

Whitsundays boasts some of the most spectacular beaches. Whitehaven literally looks like something off a postcard, no filters needed! Then diving on the Great Barrier Reef with their local resident grouper. You’ll never be disappointed! I’ve been lucky enough to see The Great Barrier Reef from above and below!

I’ve got a lot of friends from the WEST who always say WEST IS BEST and I don’t disagree. I couldn’t leave off Western Australia. Let’s start with fish and chips at Cottesloe at sunset- nothing beats it!

Then just a short boat ride across to Rottnest Island, grab a selfie with the happiest mammal the Quokka then get a pushy and ride around the island. You’ll find so many beaches with a MAX of 10 people on a busy day, so relax and enjoy the serenity, seclusion, sun, and sand!

If you’re after a bit more adventure I think I’ve saved the best till last. This is one of my most unforgettable experiences… yes I cried. In 2019 a small group of us were invited to Exmouth with our friends at GoPro to swim with Humpback whales. I don’t even think I can put into words how remarkable and unforgettable this experience was. Not only did we swim with Humpbacks but Manta Rays, a Whale Shark and we saw the whole of Ningaloo Reef by sky on a microlight flight. Try and wipe the smile off my face because I can’t and I am still smiling about the whole Exmouth experience, ALL THE GOOD VIBES!

So whether you’re looking for the perfect wave or you’re more like me and like to explore under the sea, Australia has it all. While we can’t travel abroad let’s jump in our vans and see what our country has to offer, because it will take your breath away.
