They came, they saw and they conquered. From fresh powder to our very own pink ladies, last week we gathered an alpine girl gang at Threbo resort, all in the name of learning some new skills and a chance to meet local legend Torah Bright and bright new star, Kelly Sildaru.

If you managed to tune in to our Insta story, chances are you noticed that our Girls Ride Day just happened to coincide with the 4th blizzard to hit the Australian alps this season, aptly earning the title ‘the Blizzard of Oz’.

As the weather set in and the flakes began to multiply, the event itself was in doubt... “Should we call it off? Will we be able to run it in these conditions?”, to which Torah emphatically answered;

“Of Course we can!!” shouted Torah, “this is Australian POWDER, let’s SHRED!”

While Olympic champion, Torah Bright, calls Thredbo Resort her home in the snow, we were lucky enough to have X Games Champ, Kelly Sildaru join us (fresh from her World Cup Freeski Slopestyle win in New Zealand!) This was Kelly’s first time to Australia, and together with her little brother, Henry, they met the locals, showed them a few tricks and learnt a little bit about pow in the land down under.
